Upon arrival at Berau Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to the tropical paradise of the Derawan Islands, with your main destination being Maratua Island — a pristine haven of white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters.
After a scenic speedboat ride, you’ll arrive at Maratua and check in at your selected accommodation. Enjoy some free time to relax and soak in the tranquil island atmosphere, far from the bustle of the city.
In the late afternoon, get ready for a magical moment — watching the sunset right from the edge of your stay. The golden sky, gentle waves, and swaying palm silhouettes will mark the perfect beginning of your unforgettable journey in Derawan.

Today, you’ll embark on an island-hopping journey to explore the breathtaking marine life and hidden gems around the Derawan and Maratua Islands.
The day starts with a visit to Sangalaki Island, home to an active sea turtle conservation site. If you’re lucky, you might witness baby turtles or adult sea turtles in their natural habitat. Next, enjoy snorkeling at Manta Point, where graceful manta rays often glide freely through the crystal-clear waters.
Your journey continues to Kakaban Island, famous for its Jellyfish Lake — a rare natural wonder where you can swim alongside non-stinging jellyfish in an otherworldly atmosphere. Then, discover Halo Tabung Cave, a stunning natural cave where sunlight streams in from above, creating a magical play of light and shadow.
Along the way, you may spot playful dolphins and admire the stunning scenery of the small islands scattered around Maratua.
After a full day of marine exploration and tropical island discovery, you’ll return to your hotel and unwind with a peaceful seaside dinner to end the day on a refreshing note.

This morning begins with a meaningful experience alongside the Maratua Environmental Care Community, where you’ll take part in a coral plantation activity — a chance to contribute directly to the preservation of the marine ecosystem that is home to thousands of underwater species. It’s not only an enjoyable experience but also one that creates a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
The journey continues to one of East Kalimantan’s most iconic destinations — Labuan Cermin, famously known as the “two-layer lake.” Its crystal-clear waters uniquely combine fresh and saltwater layers, allowing you to see right to the bottom and swim in a truly magical setting.
After returning from Labuan Cermin, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy — relax at your accommodation, take a leisurely walk along the beach, or simply soak in the serene atmosphere of the island before tomorrow’s adventure.
On your final day, it’s time to bid farewell to this tropical paradise.
This morning, you’ll depart from Maratua and make a short stop at Derawan Island, the main island known for its powdery white sands, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life that remains beautifully untouched.
Before leaving the archipelago, you’ll visit Gusung Sanggalau, a stunning sandbar that appears only during low tide — the perfect spot for your last photos surrounded by breathtaking seascapes.
The journey continues back to mainland Kalimantan via Berau. Before heading to the airport, you’ll stop by Basinang Shop to explore local crafts and souvenirs unique to East Kalimantan.
Finally, it’s time to transfer to the airport for your return flight.
