Bali: More Than Just a Destination

This journey will take you beyond Bali’s image as merely a tourist island, leading you toward an experience that is deeper, warmer, and profoundly meaningful. Starting in the tranquil and artistic Ubud, you will feel the essential balance between nature, culture, and spirituality.

Every step connects you closer to the true soul of Bali: from the sacred cleansing ritual (water blessing) and cooking a traditional meal in a local home, to meeting women’s communities and participating in impactful social activities.

In Sidemen, you will discover a quieter, more honest side of Bali. The emerald rice fields, traditional villages, and genuine local hospitality create a reflective space that is difficult to find elsewhere. You are not only invited to enjoy the beauty but also to give back—through acts like coral reef planting, distributing clean water filters, and learning Balinese dance directly from the cultural practitioners.

This journey is about returning: returning to awareness, to meaning, and to a deeper connection—with nature, culture, and one another.

Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport, you'll be greeted and swiftly transferred to Ubud, the tranquil and lush cultural and natural heart of Bali.

After checking into your hotel, enjoy some free time to rest or simply soak in the tropical atmosphere from your room's balcony. For maximum relaxation, you may also choose to indulge in an optional spa session or traditional Balinese massage—a perfect way to rejuvenate after your journey.

In the evening, you will be welcomed with a warm and relaxing welcome dinner—your first moment to savor the flavor, the air, and the captivating ambiance of Bali.

A Peaceful Morning in Ubud.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, today you will be invited to immerse yourself in the authentic spiritual and cultural side of Bali.

The journey begins with a Water Blessing ritual at a local temple in Kenderan Village—an experience that is not only physically refreshing but also touches the heart, offering a space for reflection in a sacred Balinese atmosphere.

Following this, you will participate in a cooking class in the local people's home, where you will learn to prepare Balinese dishes using fresh ingredients straight from a traditional kitchen. This activity concludes with a communal lunch set amidst the beautiful, peaceful village atmosphere, rich with warmth and stories from your host.

In the afternoon, you will return to the hotel and have free time to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the serene ambiance of Ubud from your room. The evening concludes with a relaxed dinner, the perfect ending to a day rich in meaning and culture.

Today is about Connection and Empowerment.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head to the PKP Women Community Center—a center for women's activities in Bali dedicated to preserving local culture and fostering community economic empowerment.

Here, you will be directly involved in various activities with the community—from making virgin coconut oil and natural soap, to preparing traditional Balinese dishes together with the community members. The atmosphere, which is warm, filled with laughter, and collaborative, will make this experience profoundly meaningful.

Following your shared lunch, you will also have the opportunity to provide a direct donation to the community as a tangible form of support for their efforts in maintaining their culture and improving local welfare.

In the afternoon, you will return to the hotel to rest and enjoy some free time. Dinner tonight is at your own expenses — you are free to try a local restaurant around Ubud or dine at the hotel in a calm atmosphere.

Time to Change Landscapes—from the tropical forests of Ubud to the natural serenity of North and East Bali.

After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, you will begin your journey toward the cool and tranquil northern region of Bali.

Your first stop is the Batur, Kintamani area, where you will enjoy lunch while gazing at the majestic views of Mount and Lake Batur—one of Bali's most iconic volcanic landscapes.

The journey continues to Les Village, where you will participate in a coral reef planting activity with the LINI Foundation, a local organization dedicated to marine ecosystem preservation. This is your opportunity to contribute to Bali's environmental sustainability through a small action with a big impact.

Next, you will be invited to visit Pura Besakih, the largest and most sacred temple in Bali, situated on the slopes of Mount Agung. Explore this magnificent temple complex while gaining a deeper understanding of the Balinese people's spiritual philosophy.

Towards the afternoon, the journey proceeds to Sidemen, a quiet, culturally rich village in East Bali. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and enjoy a peaceful dinner amidst the serene rural atmosphere.

Greeting the Morning with Meaningful Local Activities.

Today starts early with a visit to the traditional morning market in Sidemen—where you can witness firsthand how local peoples begin their day. This market is not just a place for trading, but a vibrant and colorful hub of warm social interaction.

Afterward, you will return to the hotel for breakfast, then proceed with activities led by the Surya Shanti Villa team: a cooking class and traditional Jamu making workshop. Using natural ingredients from the surrounding area, you will learn how to blend Indonesia's traditional health drink and prepare flavorful local dishes. In the afternoon, you will be taken to a local village for a meaningful community service activity: distributing water filters to the community. This small effort makes a significant impact on improving access to clean water in the region. Once the community activity is complete, you will return to the hotel to rest and enjoy dinner, concluding a day rich in connection, learning, and gratitude.

A Peaceful Final Day Amidst the Nature and Culture of Sidemen.

This morning, you will enjoy free time to explore Sidemen at your own rhythm—walk among the lush green rice fields, greet the local peoples, or simply sit and savor the fresh air from your room's balcony.

Lunch is at your own expenses, which you can enjoy at one of the charming local warungs or small cafes scattered around the accommodation area.

In the late afternoon, you will be invited to learn and practice traditional Balinese dance with local dancers. This activity is not just fun; it also introduces you to the inherent beauty and deep meaning contained within every step of the Balinese dance.

After a short rest at the hotel, the evening will conclude with a warm farewell dinner, accompanied by a traditional Balinese dance performance—a beautiful and memorable moment to close your story-filled journey on the Island of the Gods.

Time to say farewell to the Island of the Gods.

After enjoying your last breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and be transferred to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport for your flight back home.
